a little alone time, a daily creative act, and some good company to have dinner with.

PORTUGAL REST + RESET

6 days + nights of creative + restorative bliss

April 4th - 10th in Lisbon + Porto

There’s something totally magic about traveling alone.

When you’re on your own, you notice the little things: the light shifting in the afternoon, a tiny seat for one in the corner of a restaurant.  I’m convinced certain synchronicities can only be unlocked by moving through the world as a free agent.

But it gets lonely! And while that can be a beautiful thing too, sometimes we just want a little levity. And sometimes we just want to have a little adventure of our own, and then to have an afternoon snack with our girlfriends and tell them all about it.

After nearly a decade of big long solo trips, I do beleive I’ve perfected the sweet spot of traveling. The equation for the perfect trip, if you will —

Now imagine spending a week in Portugal with a group of fellow creative and adventurous people, who have gathered with the intention to spend a week exploring a foreign place rich with culture without a packed schedule or strict itinerary.

We’ll split our time between the Lisbon area and Porto.

We won’t be jamming your days with hard timelines or predetermined activities. We’ll have a semi-structured itinerary, with lots of space for rest and wandering around and finding poetic and peaceful moments of our own.

We’ll have beautiful meals planned, art classes and creative exercises teed up to facilitate. We’ll buy pencils and paper and sit and sketch. We’ll mosey around admiring the tiles and buildings. We’ll pop in and out of museums, and maybe have a massage or two. But mostly we’ll take it day by day, enjoying ourselves and taking what we need.

This retreat will be rooted in slowing down, making art, exploring at your own pace, and knowing that every evening, there’s someone to have dinner with.

For half of each day, we’ll all do our own thing. Whether that’s sketching, journaling, walking around charming neighborhoods, following a guide put together by Court, or just relaxing and having some wine and soaking it all in is totally up to you.

For the second half of each day, we’ll take an art class, or get massages, or see a museum together.

And every night, we’ll come together each night to share a meal and our experiences from the day. Some nights we’ll cook, some nights we’ll be cooked for, and some nights we’ll go out together.

If you’re looking to recharge, reignite your create flow, and enjoy Portugal with an amazing group of women who value independence and meaningful experiences at once, this is the retreat for you.
